Ticked off? Deal with it!

How is it possible that someone can screw up your whole work rhythm just by doing things differently? It seems so simple, work the way you work and let the others do it their way- no conflict. Not so much because even if you try to work by yourself, you still have to work with them in the sense that you’re both performing the same task or working for a common goal- just maybe at different times or places. However, your space is their space and their work ethic can be so random to yours that you just cannot make it flow together. I find this completely annoying sometimes. I feel like I could perform the task easier and faster by myself than trying to work with that person. This scenario can be anywhere- a job, a team, an event, a plan. So you’re going along fine, doing things the way you do, getting things done, it’s all flowing; and then here comes a helper whose work ethic doesn’t match yours. Whack! All of the sudden you feel halted, disoriented, and everything’s disconnected. Just because that one person is slower, faster, sloppier, neater, or something else that just does not mesh with your work ethic. Then you feel like you cannot possibly get anything accomplished. And you’re wondering, questioning your work the whole while, preventing you from quick decisions in good judgment. This- I can’t stand!

However, while on the topic of working together, I am going to add something very important: learning to work together- even with hard people to work with- is a vital- very vital- tool in today’s world. It is something that should be learned early in life and kept in mind for the rest of life. The ability to work together and find harmony is a quality to be valued and treasured. For, it is no easy task. People have a nature about them to do things on their own, never to have help. Granted, I find myself feeling the same way. Take the first part of this article as an example! But, I do understand the need and importance of learning to work with others even when it throws you for loops. It will aid you in your life at some point or another.

So just when you feel good ‘n angry with me during the first part of the article, remember I’m a total advocate of the second part of my article.

Live for today and play in love.
